My mission in life is to have a heart as big as the world.

I was born in New Jersey, grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and now live in the suburbs of Austin, Texas, making my personality a mixed cocktail of East Coast humor, Midwest niceness, and Western adventurous. Basically, I'm an emotionally-intelligent Gryffindor.

I've loved stories and writing ever since I was a kid. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and am currently working on my writing certification from Harvard University. I've served as a journalist, editor, and foreign correspondent, run social media pages, and managed a coworking space. Everything I've learned as a professional can be summed up in two words: do good.

Other than reading/writing, the hobbies I enjoy best are nature hikes, archery, improv comedy, swing-dancing, and someday finishing a screenplay about Robin Hood.
